Research has shown that spending time in nature and practicing mindfulness can alleviate stress and improve psychological well-being. This engaging workshop will explore the practice of mindfulness in nature and how to seamlessly integrate it into your everyday life. Modern parents are feeling overwhelmed and need supportive community connections and mental wellness resources. Mindfulness is a tool that can be used to help parents slow down, be present and learn to manage everyday challenges.

Pease Park Conservancy is happy to partner with Austin Youth Fitness to bring FREE youth fitness classes to Pease Park for kids ages 5-11!
Young cyclists ages 8 and up will learn safe biking practices and the “rules of the road” while becoming familiar with Austin’s urban trails.
Nurture your mind and body while in nature with an immersive full body listening experience “bathing” in the vibrations emitted from Crystal Alchemy, Crystal Quartz, and Tibetan bowls plus the Earth, Water, Fire & Air Koshi chimes. Unplug, slow down and take a breath to pause alone or with the entire family. You will be laying down for this experience, so bring a mat or blanket to enjoy.
Please note that although the majority of our events are free, there is a $10 fee per person to attend this event. This fee helps us cover the cost of the event and will help us manage attendance since this has proven to be one of our events with a larger attendance. After paying the fee, please complete the registration form that follows. Thank you!

This family-friendly workshop is free and open to the public. Please note this event is geared towards parents and their infants between 0-12 months old.

MASS Gallery and Pease Park Conservancy are partnering for an ambient music night in the Treehouse!
MASS Ambient is a communal ambient music night centered around deep listening and relaxing. Come experience a beautiful tapestry of sound, color, and light brought to you by local artists and musicians. The evening will consist of 2 instrumental ambient sets and one DJ session. MASS Gallery is thrilled to work in collaboration with Pease Park Conservancy to activate the Treehouse for the ultimate listening experience. Come float with us, and bring your own blanket and pillow!
Join Pease Park Conservancy for a guided walk through Kingsbury Commons and learn about the forest ecosystem in the area.
During this walk, you can expect to learn about the unique geology of the land, the kinds of species found in this habitat type, the challenges these habitats might face, and more. We will meet at the front end of Kingsbury Commons, to the right of the Picnic Table area, and make our way throughout the park.
Please note: This tour will require a walk of about a half mile and some of this will be on uneven terrain.

Pease Park Conservancy’s Chief Operating Officer, who will retire at the end of March.
Chuck has been an integral part of the Conservancy since 2019, during which he has overseen the successful implementation of the award-winning Kingsbury Commons project, guided programming efforts, and stewarded the organization’s partnership with the City of Austin.
Spring Fling: Chuckstravaganza! will feature Chuck’s favorite things, from food, to drinks, and more.
Join us for Rise!—an evening celebrating Austin’s Black freedom communities. The event features an excerpt from the film Rise, followed by a panel discussion exploring the rich history of these communities, the importance of fostering unity, and stories from their descendants.

PPC is excited to partner with the Violet Crown Players’ Diverse Space Youth Dance Company for an outdoor installment of their movement-based performance Confluence!
This performance is a FREE-for-all all opportunity to support local art and youth dance initiatives. Since this is a moving performance, we will begin at the ring of Sycamore trees next to the Picnic Tables and make our way to the Tudor Cottage and Terrace, the Amphitheater, the Great Lawn, and trails on the Kingsbury hillside.

This listening experience will take place under the sycamore trees on the south lawn of Kingsbury Commons, just next to the Picnic Table and playground area.
War in Pease 3 on 3 Basketball Tournament is an annual basketball tournament in honor of Pat Lochridge.
Each team consists of 3-5 players and the registration fee is $50 per team. Participants will compete for the winning title as well as best team spirit and best team name awards.

In honor of Martin Luther King Day, Pease Park Conservancy is hosting a donation drive for the Austin community! Bring nonperishable food items, period products, and diapers to be donated to a local food pantry and to Austin Diaper Bank to the Kingsbury Commons Picnic Tables between 12pm and 5pm. Thank you!
