Malin’s Fountain by Thomas Dambo

Danish artist, Thomas Dambo, has created Malin’s Fountain, a troll sculpture in Pease Park.

Malin is a female troll holding a bowl. She reminds us that we should share the water and resources with the animals that live here with us. Hear from Thomas Dambo about our beloved Austin Troll…

Did You Know? More than 80% of Malin’s Fountain is made from recycled, repurposed, or found materials.

Take the Troll Trek

The best way to visit the troll is by taking public transportation, biking, or walking to Pease Park.

If you plan to drive to the park, please park in one of the following parking lots:

Pease Park Kingsbury Commons Parking Lot

Austin Recreation Center

ACC Rio Grande Campus on Saturdays and Sundays between 9am-6pm

Malin’s Fountain by Thomas Dambo is about 1,200 feet or 350 meters up the Shoal Creek Trail from the Kingsbury Commons parking lot at 1100 Kingsbury Street. It is about 460 feet, or 140 meters, north of the Treehouse Observation Pod.

There is a new and improved path from the trail north of Kingsbury Commons to Malin’s Fountain by Thomas Dambo. This path will now be a little easier to navigate, especially with wheels! Thank you to the Tejemos Foundation for their support.

Please reach out to info@peasepark.org if you need additional assistance getting to Malin’s Fountain from the Pease Park parking lot or loading zone.
